Condition
Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly lighter and brighter and the wax has warmer undertones in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. All surface irregularities, chips, scuffs, scratches and media accretions to the plaster column are in keeping with the artist's use of soft materials. Close inspection reveals some fine cracks and somne spots of associated wax-flaking, most notably to some of the figure's joints, which are in keeping with the artis's choice of wax.
