Condition

Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is lighter, brighter and slightly cooler with less yellow undertones in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals some very fine tension cracks to all four extreme edges and some wear with associated specks of loss to all four extreme corner tips. Very close inspection in raking light reveals some light canvas draw to the lower two corner tips and to the top left hand corner tip and a very short hairline crack towards the top right hand corner. Close inspection reveals some faint historic frame rubbing and light handling marks to all four extreme edges and some tiny media accretions in isolated places. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
