Alexander Iolas Collection, Greece Private Collection, Greece (a gift from the above in 1974) Sotheby’s London, 18 October 2013, Lot 222 Private Collection, Europe Thence by descent to the present owner
Colour: The colour in the catalogue illustration is fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original.
This work is in very good condition. The sheet is float mounted and undulates slightly. All collaged elements are stable. There is some faint discolouration to the extreme edges of the collaged elements. All surface irregularities, creases, paper skinning, nicks and tears are in keeping with the artist's choice of media and working process.
