Gagosian Gallery, New York Acquired from the above by the present owner in 2006
"I have always wanted to make paintings that are impossible to walk past, paintings that grab and hold your attention. The more you look at them, the more satisfying they become for the viewer" (Cecily Brown in conversation with Perri Lewis, 'Cecily Brown: I Take Things Too Far When Painting', The Guardian, 20 September 2009, online).
Colour: The colour in the printed catalogue is fairly accurate, although it fails to fully convey the neon qualities of the pink pigment in the original.
This work is in very good condition. Extremely close inspection reveals some minute tension cracks to all four overturn edges. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
