  • height 31.8cm, 12 1/2 in.
the ovoid body centering a foliage medaillon enclosing the monogram NG, the border chased with acanthus leaves and strapwork, the neck band chased with geometric and foliate motive, with scroll handle, the hinged cover with foliate-wrapped bud finial, on a circular foot, marked under foot with Imperial Warrant, 45 oz. (1,383 gr.)

Condition

Good overall condition. Some surface scratches consistent with use and age. A small bump on the body, below the handle. Gilding partially worn, especially on the handle. Very well marked under the base and on the cover rim. Bon état général. Quelques griffures d’usage. Un petit choc sur la panse, en bas de l’anse. Dorure partiellement effacée notamment sur l’anse. Poinçonné sous la base et sur le couvercle. Format imposant.
