Catalogue Note

The original model is attributed to Adam Weisweiler and the bronzier Thomire, and has been delivered by Rocheux to the château de Fontainebleau in 1810 (see P.J. Samoyault, Meubles entrés sous le Premier Empire, p. 248, n°176).

François Linke acquired a model of the present table at the sale of Maison Millet's stock in 1905. His first version was created two years later, in 1907 (known as n°1390). Jansen, Millet and Sormani have also produced replicas of this occasional table.
