Catalogue Note

Linke title: Bureaux cylindre Louis XV acajou et satiné.

The present model was designed circa 1908. Although Linke in the price book describes this desk as mahogany and satiné, available at 4,950 francs, in 1925 a pencil annotation shows one was made in citronnier for the increased price of 6,300 francs. The model was altered to be available in citronnier when commissioned by a Mr. Collens in 1924, the total cost to produce 3,451 francs 70 centimes. Of this amount, 1,413 francs represented the 314 hours of cabinetmaking.
