Description

  • height 64.5cm, 25 1/2 in.
the shield shaped frame decorated with elaborate acanthus and ivy foliage, surmounted by a pediment shaped frame with the coronet of a Russian Count and initials YeKB in Cyrillic, supported on two scrollwork feet with wood backing and strut, marked Sazikov in Cyrillic, dated 1849, 84 standard, scratched in Cyrillic 5f. 86z

Condition

Good overall condition. There are minor dents and surface scratches consistent with use and age. The cartouche with the monogram with count coronet is slightly loose. Two small nails missing, one on the top of the frame, the other to lower right. Marked under the bottom border "5 f 86 z" in Cyrillic. Very nice piece. Bon état général. Quelques griffures et chocs d’usage. Le cartouche avec les armoiries légèrement branlant. Deux petits clous manquants, l’un sur le dessus, et l’autre sur le dessous à droite. Inscrit sous la bordure inférieure "5 f 86 z" en cyrillique. Très belle pièce.
