  • 19,2 x 19,2 cm, 7 1/2 by 7 1/2 in.
with canted incurved corners and shallow rounded sides, supported on a straight foot of corresponding shape, the interior elaborately carved with a scene depicting a group of horses in a landscape with pines and rocks, the exterior with four groups of horses in reserves, the base lacquered black

Condition

There are old restorations to the corners, around the rock on the recto, along the rim underneath. There are losses along the foot rim and the mouth rim. There are additional losses to the petals and to the leaves on the frieze underneath. There are tiny cracks overall on the surface. The underneath with a dark brownish lacquer with a ca. 11 cm crack.
