Condition

In overall good condition and good quality carving, with minor surface dirt notably in the crevices, consistent with age and handling. There are a few minor chips to the high points in some places and along the edges. The back of both busts have been filled with plaster in the manner of herm busts, with chips and losses to the plaster along the lower edge. There is a restored break along the edge of the marble to the back of the woman with a laurel wreath. The two marble bases with a few small chips along the edges.
