Condition
Good overall condition. The glass top presents with some surface scratches consistent with age and use. The gilt bronze base presents with some scattered surface scratches and a deeper scratch on the top of approximately 16 cm. There are a few remnants of polish, mostly concentrated to the recessed areas. The gilt bronze presents with some light surface oxidation, a few rather small oxidation stains and with some vert-de-gris in the recessed areas.

Catalogue Note
I wanted to do a free expansion that would express the language of material as much. I restricted myself to directing the flow. I wanted it to be undulatory, massive – something sensual and compact, like a wave forming in the sea.
