Condition

Condition consistent with age and use. Both columns appear to have been repainted and re-gilt at later date. The tops and the bases of each columns are later. The paint presents with some wear and some soiling throughout and with scattered losses. Only one half of the columns are gilded. The wood presents with scratches, cracks, dents and chips scattered, consistent with age and use. The base of one column with a significant chip of approximately 3,5 x 2,5 cm along one corner. There are some tiny previous woodworms holes scattered. The top of one column presents with large was remnants.
