Condition
Condition consistent with age and use. The sardine cushions are in condition of use with scattered scratches, scuffs, stains and some instances of wear to the leather, mostly concentrated along the stitches. The edges of the tail and the tips of the mouth presents with significant wear. The sofa has been re-upholstered at the time of the making by Claude Lalanne and the upholstery presents with scattered instances of wear, more significant on the seat and consistent with age and use. The leather presents with scratches, scuffs and small stains scattered. There are some concentrated scratches and scuffs on the seat. The painted wood structure presents with some wear throughout and with some scattered chips of paint, some cracks and some seams separations, all inherent to the aging process. Some more significant wear to the paint at the bottom of the legs, consistent with age and use. The wood presents with the usual scratches, dents and chips of wood. There are a few previous tiny woodworms holes scattered.
