Condition

Wooden and cardboard valise covered in green leather and linen: there are two repaired tears (approx. 13 cm long) and two smaller tears to the upper part, a few scuffs and some wear at all corners and extreme edges, most predominately on the spine of the valise. Inside of the valise: All elements are mobile. The wooden elements are in good condition and there is some abrasion to all extreme edges of interior green cardboard elements. Signatures are in good condition. Portfolio. The portfolio is complete, however 47 prints are entirely detached from the support and 6 prints are partially separated from the support and most of the prints are erroneously arranged in the black supports. Prints are light stained with minor creases. There are a few scuffs, some soft handling creases and glue remnants to the black supports. There is a detached white label to the first black support. Condition notes for individual components: “Fountain”: there are remnants of yellow glue, minor shrinkage and superficial dust. “Traveler’s Folding Item”: the cover is slightly out of shape and partially unsticked with some superficial dust. “Air de Paris”: there is some dust and superficial dirt to both strings. “Why not sneeze”: there is a small tear (approx. 1 cm long) to the paper. “9 moules malic”: the plexiglass is convex with a few minor glue remnants to the upper left corner. “Readymade”: the sheet is undulating. “La mariée mise à nu par ses célibataires, même”: the plexiglass is undulating, medium appears to have slightly faded in areas and there is some superficial dust to the surface. “Nu descendant l'escalier”, “Mariée”, “Le roi et la reine entourés de nus vites”, “Sonate” and “Broyeuse de chocolat”: the sheets are light stained and undulating slightly. “3 stoppages étalon”: the sheet is light stained and slightly convex.
