Condition

Good overall condition. The copper presents an oxidized finish, as per the artist's intention. The copper presents with scattered scratches, scattered scuffs, and a few small dents, all consistent with age and use. There are some instances of hammering scattered, inherent to the making. There are some more visible scratches right above the fall-front, inherent to use. The fall front presents with two areas of wear on the patinated copper, the largest 20 cm x 7 cm. Right below the fall-front, the copper is very slightly bent and presents with a small crack, inherent to use. There are a few tiny vert-de-gris stains scattered, a few dirt stains, some dirt/wax drippings along the seams, some surface soiling and some pen marks on the underside . The interior presents with some scattered scratches and some traces of oxidation. All consistent with age and use. The underside of the rhino presents with a few felt-tip markers inscriptions, original to the making. Approximative weight : 147 kg
