Condition
Fair overall condition consistent with age and use. The gilding presents with scattered wear, partially revealing the red layer underneath, inherent to the aging process of the material and visible on the catalogue illustration. There are a few abrasions with tiny losses revealing the resin underneath, concentrated to the edges of the fins. Some small areas appear to have been re-gilt at a later time in the history of the piece. Light surface soiling and some very light scratches scattered.
