Condition

This work is in good original condition and ready to hang. The artist's board is even overall, and ensuring a stable support. There is a possible tiny loss in the lower right. Ultra-violet light reveals no visible signs of retouching. The colours in the original are much less yellow than in the catalogue illustration, and more of a rich palette in greys, browns and blacks.

Famous for her views of Venice, some of them showing the XVIIIth century Venice, Emma Ciardi went to England and organised exhibitions dedicated to her works at Leicester Gallery in London, in 1910 and 1913.
