Grand in-4 (337 x 250 mm). Maroquin rouge à long grain, cadre à une roulette aux anses de panier, fleurons dorés aux angles, dos à nerfs plats finement ornés au pointillé, roulette intérieure, tranches dorées (Bozerian jeune).Quelques piqûres marginales n'atteignant pas les gravures, petite restauration marginale à la troisième planche. Exemplaire à belles marges, avec les épreuves avant les numéros de page, dans une fine et élégante reliure de Bozerian. Première édition française, traduite par Hubert, imprimée sur papier vélin. Elle est illustrée d'un portrait-frontispice et de 5 belles gravures hors texte gravées en couleurs par Colibert, Casenave et Clément d'après les dessins de Nicolas-André Monsiau.
