Billet empreint de mélancolie, Mme Geoffrin ne pouvant rejoindre ses amis, Jacques et Suzanne Necker. "Je me suis levée triste ce matin. J’ay dit, c’est aujourduy vendredy, un des jours de la semaine qui me procure le plus grand plaisir. Je vois mon bon ami et ma belle amie, je jouis du charme de leur amitié et j’ay l’honneur de faire partie d’une société charmante et choisie. Hé bien je perd tout ce bonheur aujourduy". [On joint :] Pièce autographe signée "Marie Thérese Rodet Geoffrin". Paris 28 février 1776 (1 page in-8 vélin, en partie imprimée). Reçu des six premiers mois d’une rente viagère en sa faveur accordée par le duc d’Orléans.
