[On joint :]Offenbach, Jacques. 1 leaf, 8vo (c.21 x 13cm), on watermarked paper ("Lafuma et [Navarre]"), no place or date [probably c.1901-1917], slight creasing at folds and browning to edges. comprising seven three-line verses, beginning "Si vous quittez la France", in which Fauré explains why the traveller should avoid Florence, ("c'est tout plein de tableaux"), Venice ("c'est tout plein d'eau"), Ferrara and Bologna ("ça sent de saussisson!"), Parma, Assisi, Vincenza, Treviso, Varese, Milan, Verona and Castiglione, if one wishes to visit the "Pays de doux farniente où, sans 'inconveniente' on dort du jour le long!"
