Petit in-folio (336 x 240 mm). Maroquin vert, triple filet, dos à nerfs à encadrement de filet doré, dentelle intérieure, tranches dorées (Reliure pastiche de Sangorski & Sutcliffe, Londres). Le nom Lory est indiqué par erreur sur le dos.Rousseurs affectant les premiers feuillets. Édition originale. 14 aquatintes en couleurs dessinées et gravées par Samuel Weibel (1771-1846), avec un frontispice à l'aquatinte en couleurs de Balthasar Anton Dünker. Une carte en noir. Rare ouvrage présentant de très belles vues de la région de Berne. Par rapport à une édition de 1796 en français et en allemand, cette édition contient un nouveau texte, non signé, du politicien bernois Philipp Albert Stapfer (1766-1840), avec deux nouvelles planches : 2 planches de l'édition de 1769 (Zweilutchinen et Glaciers de Grindelwald) ont été remplacées par une nouvelle vue du glacier et La Cime de la Jungfrau (planches 8 et 9).
