In-12 (152 x 87 mm). Vélin souple (Reliure de l’époque).Défaut du vélin avec petit manque, quelques rousseurs. Bel exemplaire en vélin de l’époque. Tragédie en cinq actes et en vers, créée à Paris au théâtre de l'hôtel de Bourgogne en 1673. Les premières représentations furent autant de triomphes, à Paris comme à la cour. Quelques semaines avant la mort de Molière, Racine accédait à une sorte de "royauté littéraire". "Le soir il y eut comédie-française, le Roi choisit Mithridate, parce que c'est la comédie qui lui plaît le plus" (Dangeau, Journal, 5 novembre 1684). Référence : Guibert, p. 71.
