2 volumes in-4 (198 x 218 mm). Maroquin rouge, filets perlés et roulettes en encadrement, dos à nerfs orné de filets et fleurons dorés, tranches dorées (Reliure de l'époque). Dos passé, mors et coins légèrement frottés. Cahiers 37 et 39 du tome I (p. 289-296 et p. 305-328) brunis, rousseurs marginales n'atteignant pas la gravure à 6 planches. Très luxueuse édition, la seconde, imprimée par Didot sur l'ordre du comte de Provence, frère de Louis XVI. Elle est réputée n'avoir été imprimée qu'à seulement 200 exemplaires. Imprimée sur un beau papier vélin, elle est ornée des figures de la première édition de 1784 : un frontispice et 40 figures de Cochin, gravés par Dambrun, Launay, Saint-Aubin, etc. Référence : Cohen, 977.
