the bombe body rising from a tall splayed foot to a flared rim, flanked by a pair of animal mask loop handles, the exterior cast in low relief with stylised taotie masks reserved on a leiwen ground, framed above and below with bands of archaistic mythical beasts interrupted by vertical flanges or bovine heads, silver-wire inlaid wood cover, wood box inscribed by Zouroku Hata in 1949 (Showa Tsuchinoto Ushi)
