Description

  • 22.3 cm, 8 3/4  in.
of lobed form, the interior carved through layers of red lacquer depicting three Daoist immortals standing by the banks before gnarled pine, below Shoulao flying on a crane, all encircled by flowering and fruiting branches of sanduo, the exterior similarly decorated with lingzhi and floral branches, lacquered black on the base

Condition

There is one‎ small repair to the rim to the right of the dish, and some re-lacquering in areas to stabilize natural craks, predominantly on the rim and footrim. Otherwise the dish is in good condition.
