Catalogue Note
It is rare to find a black jade snuff bottle retaining its original pebble form. With faint inclusions ranging from dark grey to white, the bottle is reminiscent of a black and white jade snuff bottle from the collection of Joe Grimberg, sold in our New York rooms, 14th September 2010, lot 69, where the broadest white inclusion resembles a band across the body.
