Description

  • largest h. 21 cm, 8 1/4  in.
comprising a black egg-shell pottery cup delicately potted with a flat base and shaped sides, one side with a lug handle, and a black pottery tripod ewer with three tapering legs, one side with a handle

Condition

The cup has a rim flake and an associated hairline crack from the mouth extending down to 1/2 of the vessel. There is another approx. 1.5 cm flake to the handle. The ewer has some minor restoration and retouching to edges, especially to the mouthrim, base of the handle and the tips of the feet.
