Description

  • 35.5 to 39.5 cm, 14 to 15 1/2  in.
each richly painted on the interior in cobalt blue with varying floral and foliate designs

Condition

The top right dish with radiating motifs is restored at the rim as visible on the catalogue photo and there is some typical fritting and firing imperfections, occasional nicks on the rim.The top left dish has a 1.2 by 0.8 cm chip under the rim, and four old restorations on the rim, showing on the catalogue illustration. Also, overall fritting or occasional nicks on the rim as well as expected firing imperfections.The lower left dish has extensive kiln grits to the underside, surface scratches, and expected glaze pools. There is a small chip to the rim of the lower right dish, but otherwise it is generally in good condition with expected typical kiln grits and gaps in the glaze on the underside.
