Description

  • 14.3 cm, 5 5/8  in.
the central boss encircled by a crisply cast dragon and tiger and an inscribed band, the sloping raised rim cast with stylised animals of the zodiac, the patina of an even glossy black colour

Condition

There is some light pitting around the rim on the ornate side and a few light scratches to the reflective side, but overall the piece is in very good condition. The flat surface of the reverse of the mirror has been applied with black lacquer. Please note that this mirror was offered at Sotheby's London, 8th December 1992, lot 10.
