Description

  • 16.5 cm, 6 1/2  in.
modelled in the form of a double gourd, borne on gnarled stems issuing smaller attendant gourds and curling tendrils around the exterior, detailed with two bats perched on the fruits

Condition

The carved turquoise gourd is in overall good condition. There is a small chip, approx 0.5cm to one of the gnarled twig on one side. There is some typical nibbling or occasional tiny nicks, including a nick to the edge of one leaf, but all rather insignificant. There is some natural yellowing discolouration in areas.
