  • huanghuali chest:14.1 by 39.2 by 22.8 cm, 5 1/2  by 15 3/8  by 9 in.burlwood chest: 9.7 by 21.7 by 14.7 cm, 3 7/8  by 8 1/2  by 5 3/4  in.
the huanghuali chest reinforced with metal mounts at each corner extending into ruyi-heads on the hinged cover, the front set with a circular plate with lock receptacles and a ruyi-shaped hasp, the sides flanked by C-shaped handles; the attractively grained burlwood chest constructed with a hinged cover, the front embellished with a metal lock plate and a ruyi-shaped hasp

Condition

Both boxes with expected surface wear and age cracks. The huanghuali box with later replaced metal mounts on the cover and corners.There are some occasional infills to both boxes.
