Description

  • w. 26 cm, 10 1/4  in.
naturalistically rendered with burls and recesses to simulate a gnarled section of tree trunk, with a countersunk circle to the base, the smooth patina of a warm golden-brown colour

The Tsui Museum of Art, Hong Kong.

Condition

The brushpot is in very good overall condition with only expected age crackles and typical surface wear, together with light scratches on the underside. There is a small chip to the rim of the detachable plug on the interior. The patina is good.
