Description

  • largest 6 cm, 2 3/8  in.
comprising ten beast-finial seal carvings worked from jade or various hardstones; and two small jade carvings of a lotus pot and a boy riding on a buffalo respectively

Condition

There are minor bruises and nicks to the fragile extremities, including the edges of the seal faces and the finials, such as the snout of the cub on the fourth seal from the left and the beast’s tail on the fifth seal from the left. There are also extensive scratches to one seal face and expected natural flaws to the stones.
