Description

  • 16.8 and 9.8 cm, 6 5/8  and 3 7/8  in.
the teapot modelled in the form of a bamboo li hat, the cover interior and the base with a seal mark; the tea caddy consists of two parts, jointly modelled as a yinyang roundel, the sides cast with inscriptions, signed zhuju zhuren Chen Cunzhou ('master of the Bamboo Retreat, Chen Cunzhou'), dated renjia year (1692)

Condition

The tea caddy with few expected nicks to the edges, and rusty areas as visible on the catalogue photo. The teapot with tape/adhesive residue, and the cover with few nicks/chips to the mouth rim. Both with expected surface wear.
