Description

  • 23.5 cm, 9 1/4  in.
the deep globular body decorated with an archaistic band between two raised fillets, surmounted by a wood cover with a dehua finial in the form of a single-horned recumbent beast

Condition

Good overall condition with firing imperfections, including glaze lines to the legs and a short firing crack below one handle. There are tiny nicks and flakes to the fragile extremities, including the raised fillets and the tip of one leg. There are tiny nicks and losses to the ‘beast’ finial, which has been reaffixed to the cover. The front right paw has also been restuck.
