the white-glazed box carved with a double-line border encircling the domed cover; the celadon box carved with a flower bloom
Provenance
the celadon box: C.C. Teng & Co., Taipei (label).
Condition
white box: Overall good condition with insignificant flakes to the rims and original flaws. celadon box: One retouched hairline crack from the rim of the cover, measuring approx. 3.2 cm on the interior, with an associated horizontal hairline of approx. 4.5 cm on the top. The unglazed rim of the cover also has a few other flakes, including a retouched one, and another adjacent to a C-shaped firing crack which has been stabilised.
