Description

  • 31.5 cm, 12 3/8  in.
the baluster body carved with three large peony sprays above a band of upright lappets, surmounted by a similarly decorated domed cover with a bud-shaped finial, covered in an olive-green glaze

Condition

The widest part of the jar has a small restored spot, measuring approx. 0.8 by 1 cm on the exterior. The unglazed mouthrim has a flake (3.1 cm). The footring has a 1.2 cm dent and another shallow flake. There are also typical scratches and glaze wear, especially to the tip of the knop, adjacent to a tiny glaze flake.
