Description

  • 14.3 cm, 5 5/8  in.
the flattened baluster body rising from a splayed foot to a waisted neck, flanked by a pair of foliate loop handles suspending loose rings, each face worked in low relief with a medallion enclosing floral sprays issuing from cragged rocks, below a band of stylised lotus spray, the stepped cover surmounted by a floral finial suspending an openwork chain connecting to one of the rings, the stone of an even pale celadon tone, silver wire-inlaid wood stand

Condition

The chain connecting one side of the handle and cover is missing. Some minute nicks along the extremities.
