Description

  • 55 cm, 21 5/8  in.
sturdily potted with a baluster body rising from a splayed foot to a waisted neck, flanked by a pair of mask handles suspending mock rings, the body decorated with floral scrolls, below upright plantain leaves encircling the neck

Condition

The Hu vase is of overall very good condition except 2 minute glaze flake/bruise, one on the tip of nose of one animal mask, another on lower body. There are very fine firing speckles over the glaze as expected on a large vase like this.
