Description

  • 36.5 cm, 14 3/8  in.
the cylindrical body rising from a splayed foot to a flared neck, decorated around the centre with a horizontal register of confronting archaistic dragons and phoenix in underglaze red, between two bands of detached leafy lotus sprays framed by ruyi lappets, the rim and foot encircled by further florets

Condition

The vase is in overall good condition. It has been drilled for electricity at the bottom on one side with the 7mm hole now filled in. There are some light scratches to the surface and a few expected firing imperfections.
