Description

  • waterpot w. 6.8 cm, 2 5/8  in. cupstand 12 cm, 4 3/4  in.
comprising a pair of cupstands and a waterpot, each painted with the Eight Daoist Immortals against a ground of copper-red cresting waves, the base inscribed with a four-character mark reading Yanghetang zhi (Made for the Hall of Nurturing Harmony)

Condition

As visible in the catalogue photo, there is extensive fritting to the centre of both cupstands. There is a small restored approx. 0.6 cm rim chip to one with a short associated hairline crack. The waterpot is in good overall condition.
