Description

  • 37.8 cm, 14 7/8  in.
the ovoid body rising from a splayed foot and sweeping up to a wide waisted cylindrical neck with galleried rim, flanked by a pair of mythical beast loop handles, the body and neck boldly painted in inky tones of cobalt blue with gnarled branches of peaches, finger citron and pomegranate, forming the sanduo (Three Abundances), all divided by trellis, trefoil, foliate, scrolling lingzhi and floral bands

Condition

The vase is generally in good condition. There is some fritting and a few chips to the rim, some pitting to the surface glaze and expected firing imperfections.
