- 21.5 cm, 8 1/2 in.
the domed cover worked through layers of cinnabar red, green and ochre lacquer, depicting shaped cartouches enclosing florets and wan symbols in a cellular diaper, divided by keyfret and further floral diaper bands, the interior and base lacquered black
Condition
The box and cover are in good overall condition. There are expected age cracks and some minor nicks to the fragile carving. There are also expected flakes, some with infills. The edges, interior and base are possibly relacquered.
