Description

  • 40 cm, 15 3/4  in.
of rectangular form, finely painted with a landscape depicting trees and shrubs growing from cragged rocky mountains, above turbulent cresting waves before distant mountains, the reverse with large flowering peonies issuing from pierced rocks

Condition

The screen is in overall good condition. There is a chipped flake at the lower right corner of the outer side of the screen (showing on the lower illustration in the catalogue), a smaller bruise to the to the upper left corner, and a small 0.3 cm flake to the bottom edge of the inner side. Further expected light surface scratches, minor iron spots of glaze gaps, all insignificant.
