Description

  • 72 by 65 cm, 28 3/8  by 25 5/8  in.
of rectangular form, ornately inlaid with flowering magnolia branches in jade and hardwood, all reserved against a red lacquer ground, wood frame

Condition

The panel is in good overall condition. There are expected age cracks to the lacquer surface and minor traces of stabilisation to the inlays, especially to the branches. There is also minute nibbling to the fragile extremities of the jades and breaks to the branches, possibly original before the inlaying.
