Description

  • approximately 69 by 123 cm., 2ft. 3in; 4ft
  • second half 19th century
with a naively drawn but rare depiction of a wedding procession, including the bridal camel with kejebe, two mounted horsemen, another camel in dark indigo, a figure with headress (?), and multiple small animals probably representing dogs and sheep

Condition

Overall low pile with knotbars and some foundation visible, repiling scattered throughout, cloth backed, with edges lined, hanging loops on backing. Additional photographs are available from the department. Inspection advised as a rare type, but with compromised condition.
