A West Coast Collection

Condition

Closely woven, even pile of 1-2mm depth, with browns oxidised so that foundation is beginning to appear and with some associated wear in left hand and lower borders, and a couple of the star tiles in the lower left quadrant fo the field (additional images available on request). Original end finishes with some nicks and losses. Outermost 'dice' guard stripe removed on both sides and with later overcasting in bright red - appearance would be improved by redoing this in a more sympathetic colour. Very unusual format and lovely range of colours in the 'star guls', and good sea green ground to kufic border.
