It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is not lined and is slightly undulating. Examination under UV light reveals two spots and a few further small lines and dots of retouching in the white pigment to the lower right quadrant. There are some thin lines of horizontal craquelure with associated lines of white traces in areas, most predominately to the upper part of the composition. There are a few dots of paint loss, notably to the upper left quadrant (15 from left edge and 30 cm from upper edge). There are a few small areas of whitening, consistent with age, in the blue pigment throughout the composition (as visible in the catalogue illustration). There are a few tiny flyspots in places. This work is in overall good condition. "In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
