Condition

It has not been possible to see the work entirely unframed. The canvas is lined and is slightly undulating. Examination under UV light reveals scattered spots and lines of retouching (most predominately away from the figures), most predominately to the lower right quadrant, towards the lower edge and along the extreme edges. There are thin lines of craquelure throughout the composition. There are a few dots of paint losses in places, notably towards the left part of the lower edge and some fly spots in places. This work is in overall fairly good condition.
