Condition

The board is stable. Examination under UV light reveals a few minor dots of retouching along the upper edge and in the grey pigment to the upper part of the composition, a further smaller dot of retouching to the lower right quadrant in the white pigment (located approx. 15 cm from lower edge and 10 cm from the right edge). There are superficial scratches to the impasto. There is a restored paint loss (located approximately 7 cm from upper edge and 24 cm from the left edge,) to the red vertical shape to the upper left quadrant and a further minor dots of paint loss to the lower part of the right edge in the black rectangular shape. There are a few scattered stable hairline lines of craquelure, possibly consistent with the artistic process. This work is in overall good condition.
